With over 80,000 sq-ft. of Chicagoland event space, we've hosted hundreds of thousands of guests for all kinds of functions throughout the years. We invite you to read few of their experiences below. "With a background in 'turnaround engineering' consulting with some pretty high profile companies, I feel qualified to say that your efforts have achieved 'lift-off' and you are well on your way to returning Pheasant Run to the stature it once enjoyed in the 70's.  Living in Chicago, I attended a number of corporate and private functions here.  As discussed, the corporate culture, while measurable, is still difficult to manage and more difficult to start the long, arduous 'turn'.  A turnaround guru friend assimilates it to turning a high seas cargo vessel that alone can take up to three miles to stop the forward momentum before you can even consider the turnaround.  Your front line people are certainly embracing the 'mission' and they were simply outstanding in their C.R.M. (customer relationship management) component...the desk staff, the pro shop, the people we ran into throughout the facility could not have been more cordial or more helpful.  At least 4 or 5 times our group was standing looking at the facility or taking pictures and we were asked if they could help us.  We don't often have this experience even at a Marriott or Hyatt.

Fay Ander is simply terrific and I would love to work with her on our Brule and Worthington tournaments.  She is polished and professional and I would not fear the detail with her in charge.  She was prepared and you have an EE resource here that Jack Welch says, "...no organization can let their Type I's depart."

Chris Lange - even though she appears to work for Zanies, she still wears the C.R.M. badge for Pheasant Run.  Without knowing who we were, she was a delight and "guaranteed" we'd enjoy the show that night.  We did.  If not for her contagious effervescence, we probably would not have gone.

Chef Tiffany Tooker - oozes world class professionalism.  She came up to us before our meal and I do not believe she knew who we were.  She mentioned that she does this quite often when time allows.  This is major league behavior.  The food was 5 star and the fried oreos were a decadent indulgence which we could not resist.  Clearly any F&B concerns are baseless with Chef Tiffany at the helm.

Jamie Nieto - while I did not have the pleasure to meet Jamie, I was taken aback by our personal reception from everyone in the pro shop (Keith & Dom) as well as the lady in the half-way house who knew us before we said anything.  This is the type of attention to detail that pushes the professional meter as we do our site reviews.  I can tell by his support staff that this is a man who knows both the golf side of his business and the business side of golf.

Dan Murray - while I did not get a card from Dan because he says he does not carry cards or radios, he was outstanding in giving me a tour of the course and answering a number of critical questions.  A very nice man with clear dedication to making Pheasant Run GC a really good track.

Hal Barth - when a guy takes the time to track me down inside the facility, I can draw a few very favorable conclusions.  It is quite apparent that Fay has invested serious time in molding this guy to create a terrific Director of Sales & Marketing.  Seriously, they appear to make an outstanding team that is the face of the organization for those considering Pheasant Run for an outing or conference.  Plus make sure Hal remembers he owes me some discount considerations for my 'Greenwood Hills CC' hook-up."

"Wow…what an impressive display of hospitality you and your team orchestrated for our IHLA Board of Directors Outing at Pheasant Run earlier this week!
I cannot tell you how much I appreciated your professionalism and attention to detail from conversation to BEO to execution-the transition was flawless with an impeccable outcome!  From the moment we walked in your main entrance to the closing of the car door, your hospitality was of the highest caliber.
Chef Tiffany and her team outdid themselves on a menu that was creatively displayed and savory to the last bite!  The dinner was one of the BEST our GM's have experienced in a setting like none before…and the filets were cooked to perfection despite a winded reception by our attendees.  You truly exceeded all expectations as the genuine smiles of our attendees showed true.  I think it helps when everyone at the resort was empowered and seemed like they loved their role--it was contagious.  You have an exceptional team!

Steve and Janis were stand-out all stars ensuring everyone was taken care of as well as your service team.  Your executive team was also on-point, there for any question or direction needed.  Forgive me if I did not mention each one here…You all made IHLA look good too and we greatly appreciate that!!

Debra and Margy were there to answer questions and offer advice at every turn and at the drop of a hat could answer questions and meet with us when needed. Upon arrival on Sunday, the Expo Hall looked amazing. Bruce truly stepped up and took every opportunity to support our team in the Exhibit Hall. There was not a time that I was not in the area that I did not see Bruce. "The staff is very friendly and accommodating."  I heard this type of comment concerning the staff on more than one occasion in different areas of the resort; the café, Jambalaya, and of the staff who catered our breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Pheasant Run Resort has character."  The participants love Bourbon Street, the Atrium, the New Orleans ballroom and the resort in general.  It was not the Westin and that was good.

As I shared with you prior to the conference I had concerns about the resort being dated and in need of some investment.  Despite my concerns I chose to hold the conference at Pheasant Run because of the people who worked there.  I was impressed during my initial visit with Karen Horn that everyone and I mean everyone who worked there took the initiative to say HI to you or you greeted them.   I visited the resort unannounced twice before signing the contract to see if that day was a dog and pony show and to my pleasant surprise your staff never once failed to make my visit pleasant and satisfying.  Kudos to your staff.

I would recommend Pheasant Run to anyone at McDonald's who is looking for a place to hold a conference, a meeting or simply a place to get away."
