Golf Testimonials

"Please accept my appreciation for your professionalism, the courtesy and kindness you have shown my group over the last several years.  Albeit, I am no expert on golf courses but I find Pheasant Run both beautiful, well-kept as well as challenging but the best attribute is the people.  It starts with you and from there down, whether it is the starters, the bag folks or the halfway house, you have surrounded yourself with great people.  To me that is the trait of a true manager. Thank you for all that you do and continue to do for all of us determined golfers."

- Larry Smith, President
Glen Ellyn Storage Corporation

"Attending a golf outing is a lot of fun, but hosting an outing can be a lot of work.  My family and I have partnered up with the staff at Pheasant Run for over 10 years now - and they help make the day fun, even for the organizers!  Each August, we bring ~100 golfers out for a family-friendly event that raises money for breast cancer research.

The professionalism and consistency of the staff make it such that I now only arrive to the outing about an hour before the participants do.  This confidence comes from a track record of  knowing the tee sheets will be printed, the carts will be clean, organized and marked in the correct order and the staff will be ready to load the bags up in as organized manner as possible.  The Head Pro, Jamie and his staff have gotten to know us and our participants and some even make an effort to work the day of the outings, year after year, just to be a part of all the experience - it is awesome!

The carts are always in great condition, as is the course  - which offers a challenge to the low-handicappers,  but without anyone feeling like the course beat them up for those newer to the game.

Jamie, is more than fair to work with on pricing / contracts and makes it easy for us to keep locking the outing and fundraising down, year after year - without second guessing our decision.  People look forward to the event and I know the staff, course and conditions at Pheasant Run are ALL a big part of that!"

I have been fortunate to play golf in the Chicagoland area for more than 30 years. My first home was Cog Hill, which offered 4 courses but it was more of a golf factory than a casual place to play. I then moved on to Carillion (a new course at the time). A beautiful layout but it was built around a retirement community and there wasn't a chance to build any comradely. I then returned to Big Run, a course I had played years before. It was and still is, one of the toughest golf courses you can play but that also may have been the reason I left. Even as a low handicapper, the course just beats you up. I have now been a member at Pheasant Run for 3 years and I think I have finally found my home. The course is in immaculate condition year round and offers all skill levels (and ages) a great test of golf. It is challenging but not brutal. The golf staff is professional and treats me like a friend, not a number. Throw in the ambiance of a first class resort and you'll see why I think Pheasant Run Golf Club is the most unique course in Chicagoland.

Pheasant Run is a fantastic place to come and golf. The course is always in great condition and the greens are not too challenging for recreational golfers like myself. As a coach as well, my team always raves on how well the course plays when it comes to high school matches. The course staff are super friendly and it's just a fantastic place to golf.

- Tim Kauffmann, Batavia Girls Golf Coach

I have been playing Pheasant Run for many years and three years ago decided to become a Full Golf Member; what a wonderful decision it was.  The sporty course is more challenging than first glance, and is always in very good condition.  The first class Staff maintains the pace of play and ensures an enjoyable round of golf for all.  The Practice Center is excellent, as are the other restaurant and entertainment facilities in the resort.  Whether it's a round with your friends, or a fun family round, Pheasant Run is a great option.

- Frank Krause, Golf Member

Pheasant Run Golf Course is a beautiful 18 hole course. The mature trees and water ponds add to the difficulty of play and scenery. The large greens are immaculate and the par 3's are very reachable for women golfers. Hidden between the resort and the DuPage Airport, the 18 hole course is challenging, walkable and priced right. The golf pro, Jamie Nieto, is the best!. He works hard to organize weekly play for our leagues and is very encouraging and helpful to everyone. I highly recommend adding Pheasant Run Golf Course to your golf outing!
